Breaking its bond to Halloween, candy corn is now produced for a number of holidays in a rainbow of abominations such as the red and green “reindeer corn,” or the pastel “rabbit corn.”

It's not my most favorite candy but it has to be better than those nasty circus peanuts.....and the marshmallow easter eggs with the hard shell sugar coating.

I had a co-worker who would mix candy corn and peanuts in a large bowl; and provide little dixie cups. It was possible to eat them together; the peanuts covered the sweet yuck of the candy corn.

My brother has a Christmas tradition that everyone must eat a circus peanut before he hands out his gifts. It is a hard decision, because he gives generous gifts; but he is a stickler for the eating the circus peanut thing.
