Some streets are getting new asphalt pavement!
City of Burleson
As part of the City’s street maintenance program, TexOp Construction, L.P., has been contracted to perform the milling part of the mill and overlay program in 2014. The grinding on the first streets – Miller Street, Miller Court and Commerce Street - on the list will be done June 9-19.
City crews will install two inches of new asphalt pavement during the same week. If your street is on the list, please do not park or leave vehicles on the street during the timeframe that the work will be done. Please use your driveway or an unaffected side street closest to your home. Vehicles left on the street will be subject to towing. The contractor and City crews will work with residents to allow for access to and from the properties that are affected by the maintenance.
The street maintenance will be ongoing throughout the summer. The mill and overlay will also be done in the Timber Ridge area, Murphy Road, Crestmoor Park Addition, Charlyne Drive, and Clinton Street.
Residents are being notified via door hangars, the City’s emergency phone notification system, the City of Burleson Facebook and the City of Burleson Twitter. If you see 817-426-9833 on your Caller ID, that is our public works department. As with the weather alerts, you must answer, press 1 to hear the message, and then press 1 again to confirm that you received the message. If you do not receive the emergency alerts from the City, you can opt in online at http://bit.ly/1eaUJt0 or call Fire Station #1 at 817-426-9170 for assistance.
