Did your family use that expression? Was reminded of it today when my husband remarked on a situation, used that expression, and followed it with "and he didn't even have red hair." :)

at work the old guys would say , he's standing on thin ice and he's got one foot on a banana peel . ------ Said to a guy in a precarious situation is best I can explain it .

cut a fat hog on the azz !! Maybe just something my Dad would say , don't know where he heard it . Meant that a guy was looking for a reward / windfall that he wasn't really entitled to like in a lawsuit . ------ something like that !!

One that came to mind this morning when I had to stop and get gas was "Colder than a welldiggers arse".
