For the dog lovers here

Postby ann jusko » Sat Apr 04, 2015 10:04 am

Our 50th wedding anniversary is coming up on April 23. I wanted to give my husband something that he'd cherish. I thought and thought...and then saw a beautiful drawing of a Great Pyrenees on our Pyr group on facebook. I contacted the artist and she's reasonable. She did request a lot more pictures of Buster. I'm not a photographer and usually forget to even take pictures. She e-mailed me pics as she progressed, wanting to get it exactly right. She nailed it! Somehow she caught his personality....happy go lucky, loves everyone he meets, and yet, is pretty obedient (as pyrs aren't know for obedience)...they are free thinkers and guard dogs for sheep, goats and even chickens). He's usually a clown but does take his "guarding of all things" seriously. Well, except for squirrels. He's never caught one and they taunt him. Anyway, my
husband is very, very hard to buy for, but of all the dogs we've had and loved...Buster really stands out. I can't believe Alex just captured him so perfectly. It came yesterday but I can't open it or Steve will see it. This is a pastel drawing so I have to be very careful. I didn't give her enough time to do a painting. I *think* I found the perfect gift for him.

I know Greg in Burbank, Scarlot and Dancer are all special dog lovers. They may want to memorialize their special dogs. If you'd like Alex's information, just let me know.

First, congratulations on 50 yrs. Kay and I hit 25 last year. Second, send me info as I have pictures of 3 of my Pits that are no longer with us. One day I am going to have them Inked on my forearm or shoulder when I find someone I can trust to do it.

Are we certain that Greg's little guys are really dogs and not long haired gerbils ? :-)

Put me down as a dog lover.
