Per discussion on the Diane Rheems Show today it's because of fake news on the internet. And who is responsible for this? It's sites that allow information and opinions by conspiracy theorists. That's right. The main problem in this country today is people like me.

When Jon Rappaport, an investigative reporter for 30 years, began his website years ago, he named it nomorefakenews.com. He is a big Trump supporter by the way.

This AM heard Mr. Miller the ag. commissioner in Texas. Reporter asked him why he kept posting fake news on his FB account and on his website.
He tossed off a response that said it was not his job to know if a story was true or not, he was just posting.

IMO, he is being irresponsible. As someone holding a state level office, I expect responsible posting--not just gossip being posted.
If the average person wants to post crap, it is on a different level than someone who is SUPPOSED to be a leader....but more and more Mr. Miller keeps showing he is a person not worthy of holding office.

There are two main problems with this country:

1. Government is too damn big.

2. Too many inhabitants (notice that I didn't say citizens) have an entitlement mentality and are lazy.

I don't think there really is "fake news" on the internet with the exception of "The Onion". One reason people go to the internet for news is that there is so much fake news in the MSM. Virtually all of the MSM news about Syria has been fake for the last 5 years. Diddo Ukraine.
