What we have here is a bunch of scaredy-cat paranoid lunatics.

Even you have to admit something odd is giing on with these drones.
A bad peace inevitably leads to a worse war.

I am still not totally convinced this is not just mass hysteria.

Yes, I’m curious.

I want to believe it's an elaborate prank but that fleet of drones can't be cheap. What I find puzzling is the lack of stealth. No attempt to hide from view. It leads me to think it might be a distraction from something else.
Re: Drone mystery: New Jersey homeowners threaten to take matters into their own hands if government doesn't act
Until one or more are shot down, we will never know anything.
I think the odds of it being an enemy spying or otherwise up to no good, is way out in front the most likely explanation.
..and most likely China, for whom Biden will never do anything other than endlessly protect.

Probably Trump gathering intel on his NJ enemies list.

Could be, but this is the same bunch of incompetents who brought us spy balloons slowly working their way cross-country.

I just watched a YouTube post from a guy that has had a channel devoted to drones for years. His take on it is that it is a combination of bad reporting, witnesses not understanding what they are seeing, exaggeration, misinformation from officials and politicians who don't know what they are talking about and most importantly, mischief by some of the nearly one million drone owners in the US.
He says every image he has seen looks like a conventional drone that civilians can own, with FAA compliant lighting. It is very suspicious that none have been seen in the daytime (it is legal for drones to fly at night, notwithstanding some reports). Also that it is impossible to judge size unless you know the distance. He sounds convincing to me.
We can expect this little game to spread across the whole country before the public wises up.
The YouTube channel is "51 Drones" and the video is titled: "The New Jersey Christmas Drone Mystery".

Meanwhile, a New York airport shut down its runways because of the drones.

“Boston law enforcement officials arrested two men after they allegedly flew a drone “dangerously close” to Logan Airport from a now decommissioned health campus on an island in Boston Harbor, according to police.
Boston police said 42-year-old Robert Duffy of Charlestown and 32-year-old Jeremy Folcik of Bridgewater, Massachusetts were arrested on Saturday and charged with trespassing, though additional charges could possibly come forward.”

Has anybody bothered to check out Bruce Springsteen? This sounds just like something he would do.

Make America Great Again. Impeach Trump!

This whole business reminds me of the Crop Circle hoaxes that had people so worked up around the world a few years back, and that some people still believe in.

Has the drone hysteria died down already? I don't see anything in the news about it.

I guess people finally realized that if something nefarious was going on they would be flying around with all their lights on.

What has died down..way down.. is the number of drones.
There had been typically 150 sightings per night..last night there was one.
That means either the bad actors are done doing what they were doing for now…or, the government is done testing whatever they were testing…or, a huge gaggle of drone enthusiasts have had their fun.

Why do you assume they’re “bad actors”? Flying drones isn’t against the law. It seems a lot of people are unnecessarily paranoid. For all we know they were trying to do some coordination for a Christmas or NYE display.

If that was the case, why aren't they flying in formation or coordinated manner?
