Former White House Press Secretary James Brady has died at the age of 73, the Associated Press reported Monday citing a statement from Brady's family.

"He is somebody who I think really revolutionized this job," White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Monday during the press briefing. Earnest said while he had not heard of Brady's death he knew that the former press secretary was recently in failing health.

"He leaves the kind of legacy that I think that certainly this press secretary and all future press secretary will aspire to live up to," Earnest added.

He may have been a good press secretary..don't remember.

But for me he'll always be the guy who lost much of his brain and became a Democrat.
