Private Messaging?

I composed a PM and it is sitting in my outbox, but I can't figure out how to actually send it.

At the bottom of the message text box, there is a button "submit"

I did that but nothing happened. However it has now gone through. Sure took a long time.

When I have used it, I hit submit and don't think I could see anything happen (such as a notification that the message was sent), but the message went through.

It was still in the outbox when I went to bed (14 innings!) but went through some time during the night.

Taking a wild guess here, but if you look at the "Rules, folders & settings" in the User Control Panel, you will see there is a limit of 50 messages in your Inbox. The default setting says:

If folder is full:
Do not accept new messages (New messages will be held back until enough space is available)

The person you were trying to PM may have deleted some messages, freeing up room for the PM to finally go thru.
