Anybody Remember This?
This day in 1980 was the hottest temp ever recorded in Dallas/Ft. Worth.. Hit 113 degrees! Talk about global warmin'. I didn't get here until 1982.

It was also 115 or so in Wichita Falls during that warm spell the day I was in town, recall 105 or so in Waco same time frame.
I don't know if those were records .

TEMPERATURES --------------- off topic as to location but i saw 128 degrees in Death Valley at about Sunset in July 2004 and the crows or couple Ravens were sitting in the shadows of the Palm Trees on the front grounds of the Hotel that we were staying at . They had their beaks wide open as i guess thats how birds sweat . ---------------------- Also saw a still air temp of 58 below zero on Lakewood Lane right off Lake Superior at my parents house . I t was reported by KI Sawyer air base one winter .

I was working at a Ford tractor dealership in Nacogdoches, in the parts department. Everything was just dying because there was no rain that summer. It was in the high 90s most of the summer (which is like a blast furnace in Nac).

Yes. That summer we put the lawn sprinkler on roof to cool shingles and house.

Dallas has never hit 90 degrees in November until last year. It happened 3 times in 4 days. Must be global warmin' I guess.

I remember that summer, can't forget it. My then husband and his brothers were frame carpenters, I don't know how they survived that summer.

That was the summer I worked at JC Penney's at Irving Mall. I think I had a car by then but not sure. It was a plymouth duster with vinyl bench seats. Those could get HOT and burn your arse off in the summer heat.
