It happened last night.

Daughter swerved to avoid an idiot in a parking lot, hit a curb with exposed rebar, and ripped the sidewall of her front right tire.

She knows how to change a flat, but she also has roadside assistance, which she utilized as she was worn out from two practices yesterday.

Her mother got a little stressed out (I'm under stating this).

Daughter handled it well, as I knew she could/would. Her main emotion? Annoyance.

Her coach has pointed her in the direction of a reputable tire shop; she'll get at least a couple of new ones when her schedule allows. She is growing up, just like she is supposed to....

Good for your daughter. I don't know how to change a tire and don't plan on learning at my age. Besides, it seems like a dangerous proposition to change a tire on the side of the road/highway these days whether you're a man or woman. So, I use my cell to call my roadside assistance when I'm having car issues. And I have had some lately, but got out safely.

You should try changing a tire on the side of an L.A. freeway..like some knuckleheads do..mostly illegal aliens do that in this part of the country.
