Donna had an outpatient procedure today. Scheduled for 10 am, the doc's office call's at 7, "Can you come in early, we had a cancellation?"
Sure be there in an hour.
Walked in the door at 8:15.
If you guessed they came and took her for prep and anesthesia at 10:15, you win.
While waiting one lady, not using her "inside voice" began to describe her ailment and the gory details to her waiting room neighbor.
I didn't know just how uninhibited an older lady can be about bodily functions and the aftermath. Lots of nervous chuckles.
At 11:00 the nurse comes and tells me Donna is in recovery and I can go back.
Yes she is still sleeping off the drugs, so here comes the nurse to wake her. That didn't go smoothly, the nurse looks at me and say's we must have gotten a great batch of drugs today we're having trouble waking everyone, ha,ha,ha.
Then the loud lady flies past, nope she did not make it to the restroom.
Thirty minutes of Donna asking what time it is every minute on the minute, interspersed with how hungry she is. and we're out of there.
Of course today was also the day that every customer I have decided to call and need something, right now.
So Donna get's her cheeseburger and all is well with the world.
The end.
What a fun day
