People have posted before about the commercials they like or despise the most. I absolutely LOATHE the Chevrolet commercials. This guy absolutely nails it (warning: language NSFW):

Guy rips on Chevy commercials
Re: Guy rips on Chevy commercials
What the hell does TV produce?
Eyeballs. The only thing TV produces is eyeballs.
Your eyeballs also I'd reckon.
Hating a commercial you have already given your eyes over to is
a waste of time: the commercial maker has already won.

One of the Chevy commercials I loathe the most, ripped to shreds (NSFW):

I always thought the Real People Not Actors disclaimer was misleading. They can still be given lines to say, what they say can be edited to take the remarks out of context, and they probably have multiple takes.

I saw an article about that. A guy said that he was hired off the street for $200. The shoot took two hours. They weren't hired as actors, but it was L.A., so several of the "real people" were actors. But they were hired off the street, so they are "real people". He said that as soon as the cameras started rolling, the "real people" actors instantly activated, grabbing camera time, for which they received more money.

I'll just go ahead and add that all of reality TV is a hoax. You can tell that they backload comments by recording them after the fact so they and insert phony drama or tension.

I remember watching a "Flip or Flop" episode a few years ago. The narrator said something about the pressure being on, because if Tarek and Christina lost money on the particular house they were working on, it could spell the end of their business. Riiiiight.
