I went every year from 1948 until the late 1950's. I cant walk far now and surely dont like the crowds, so I'll not go, but if you are going, have a great time and say a loud HOWDY PARDNER to BIG TEX for me.

I've been going to the fair since the 50s. Once I got kids of my own it was mandatory to go on Fair Day. My wife is making noises about going this year but doing that much walking could be a challenge for me.

I went once about 45 years ago. That trip held me for all these years., I don't see any reason to go back. Corny dogs probably taste the same and I imagine there's still a bearded lady.

I'm thinking your in for a sticker price shock, that Corny Dog you paid 35 cents for in 1974 will be $5.00 this year. As for the Bearded Lady, the story goes she and the 600 pound midget eloped and have not been seen in twenty years

LOL!! I know you can blow a ton of $$$, but I had no idea about the bearded lady and the 600 pound midget. Hard to believe nobody has spotted those two.
Actually I've wanted to go back over the years but my better half doesn't care for it so I've passed it up.
