Here's the deal. And I don't care if you agree or not, but it's the truth.

The Democrats are going to need to find somebody who is not as radical as Sanders or Warren. There are millions of Republicans who wouldn't vote for Trump if there was a centrist Democrat candidate. On this board there are plenty of 'always Trumpers", but in real life there aren't that many. Trump doesn't have enough supporters to carry him through an election that includes a candidate with centrist views. Maybe Bloomberg is that guy?

The flip side of that is that the Democrats now have a core of lunatic Leftists who may prevent a centrist from winning the nomination, or if he/she does manage to win the nomination, may not get their support. They are also driving rational people out of the party.

Trump’s popularity among Republicans is in the mid 90s percent..so forget that.
