What was your first job?
Re: What was your first job?
My first job was when I was a HS Senior, I got to leave school at noon to go to the job. I worked at a custom furniture making company, out in the plant part. I made fabric swatches to go into a book for people to look at when deciding on which fabric they wanted for their furniture. Someone cut the fabric for me then I had to sew around the edges with a serger and then attach grommets.

A buddy and I vacuumed the classroom after school for 50¢. That was in about 4th grade. First job with a paycheck was washing dishes at a Chinese restaurant in Plano. After the dishes were washed I had to peel chicken wings for all their chicken dishes.

Babysitting, then clerk at M.E.Moses followed by checker at Homer's Home Store.
Closing Time. Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.

Dallas Morning News paper route when I was 8. Did that for two years. First paycheck job was working in the kitchen at TGI Fridays on Greenville at 15. Waiters would bring me pitchers of Dr Pepper to keep me hyper while I worked double shifts, then bring me pitchers of beer at the end of the night to mellow me out. Then I'd ride my bike home at 2am.

I guess I need to amend my post to paper route, when I was 12 or so. Forgot about that gig.
