One of the greats....and a good friend to the Rangers.

Many many years ago, the company my ex worked for had a Christmas party.

The performer was Stephen Pride.

I went outside to grab a smoke and have a beer.

Charlie walked up introduced himself and bummed a smoke.

We chatted for a while.

Just a nice guy.

Yes, that's correct. And he was still actively performing, at least when he could due to the pandemic. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the CMAs last month.

I'm sure he was in perfect health and would have continued until at least 100, except for the deadly COVID.
