In & Out Burgers
Re: In & Out Burgers
If I could have the In N Out burger with grilled onions and McDonald's fries I'd be happy.

Among all fast food joints, I'd put In and Out's burgers above McDonald's and maybe JITB. That's about it.
I'll explain where I was going.
You don't make a whole lot of innane, nonsensical statements.
..like this one...
"If In and Out is the best burger Kalifornia has to offer, then it must truly be a sad place to live"
We'll just call it.."you're having an off day."
If you’re “woke”..you’re a loser.
Re: In & Out Burgers
Inane? Nonsensical? WTF?
A good hamburger is truly one of life's little pleasures. An inferior hamburger is a huge disappointment.
I really do hope Kalifornia has something better to offer than In and Out, because they ain't that great.

Like I said..we have all the burgers.
But the inane and nonsensical..was the "sad place to live" part.
Not worthy of you at all..most of your posts are quite worth a read

I don't understand how a burger thread can get so emotional. Sheesh.

All it takes is one stupid comment.

Consider the source of the emotion.

And maybe a Blizzard.
I love "the Dude" steak sandwich....and the combo is on sale for six bucks this month.
ditto "the Dude." I know where I am going for lunch, tomorrow.
And nobody beats DQ's soft serve....

I order mine with pickles and without the tomatoes. I haven't had one yet this week. Maybe tomorrow.

There are TWO DQ's within 5 min. driving distance of my office in FT Worth. They are the old school ones, not the shiny new DQ's they are building now.

Re: In & Out Burgers
I have had a couple of In 'n Out burgers. They were OK. And that's not bad, because their service is good, they got the order right, the price is reasonable, and the order was fresh. I've been to the Twisted Root a couple of times, and their burgers were OK. That's BAD, because their burgers cost more than the Crown Jewels of India.
My favorite fast-food burger of all time is Burger House, hands-down. They aren't quite as good as they were when Jack Koustabardis was applying the seasoning to every burger and order of fries, but they are still very good.
GfB, Burger House is just a couple of blocks away from Kuby's.
I also like Whataburger and Braum's (I like to get their sixth-pound burger with pepperjack cheese).

If your in Collin County try one of these places. It's my favorite. Hard to say what it is about them, nothing fancy, but they do everything right. Just like a hamburger and fries should be.

Gotta agree with planosteve on this one I had forgotten about. Sometime back in 1999 I went into a new burger joint when they were having their GRAND opening that day. Independence pkwy and 15th street in Plano. Ordered the regular hamburger and fries to eat there(very limited seating) it was handed to me wrapped in butchers paper, if I remember right. The bread was fresh, the meat thick and juice, fries were fresh and lots of them(fresh cut in the store that day). The new owner , whose initiols wereJ.C.(he recently passed away) JC was tending the grill and quite nervous about it, but doing a great job. Thats a place I'll drive back to for a good tasting burger, thanks for the reminder planosteve.

None of the burger joints can compete with what I make on my grill.
Here is my secret ingredient:
