At 98 he's so confident of a successful procedure he bought a Browning 12 gauge , single shot for trap a hour ago. After mom said buy it, of course.
He was looking for 45/70 Trapdoors earlier today....he has 5 authentic already and wants another.
He likes his toys.

Pop is in recovery and will be home tomorrow.
Before surgery he was making plans to go shoot at his gun club, 45/70 of course.
I found some cowboy loads last week and shipped them to a friend in AZ.
I'll go get them in a couple days and let pop decide if he really wants shoot it.

Glad to hear it. Y'all have been blessed.
Just curious, does your dad do his own reloading?

He hasn't reloaded much the last few years, the last few rounds he did was to show a friend of mines the process.
He has reloaded at least 20 different calibers over the years, 22-250 was the first he did and that was when it was a wildcat.
We fire formed brass for a wildcat 17 caliber 5 years ago.
Mom and pop have had an incredible life. Tonight will be his third night in a hospital in 98 years and the second time this year.

Im not sure which valve was repaired via an artery in the leg. I'm shocked how big the item is, before insertion and after it was expanded.
