Throw the challenge flag.

Adolis García may have won The Sporting News AL Rookie of the Year, but he wasn't even named as a finalist for the BBWAA's award.

And now, they've also signed Jon Gray.

The Rangers have been busy today.

Sources say the Rangers are still going to go after Corey Seager or Trevor Story, even after signing Semien.

The Rangers should have everybody's attention now, after signing Corey Seager to a 10 year, $325 million contract yesterday.

The big losers are Nick Solak and IKF. They no longer have starting jobs in Arlington.

He was AL MVP in the first half of the season. He was OK in the second half.

This story isn't directly about the Rangers, but it relates to the possible future of the live broadcast of Ranger games. This is another chink in the armor of cable and satellite's stranglehold on live sports TV programming. I don't think we are all that far away from being able to stream Ranger games on Bally Sports, or perhaps somewhere else.

If I can ever get to the point of being able to stream the Rangers and Nascar's top three series, I'll be able to dump my cable company and replace them with much cheaper streaming services.

A variety of the most popular grassroots motorsports events in North America will have a new home on FloRacing in 2022. During a press conference Thursday afternoon in Nashville, NASCAR announced a landmark streaming partnership that will make FloRacing the home of NASCAR Roots properties.

As part of the partnership, every ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and NASCAR Pinty’s Series race will be streamed live on FloRacing. Select NASCAR Advanced Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series events will also be featured.

FloRacing’s coverage of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series will include tentpole events from historic race tracks such as Bowman Gray Stadium, New Smyrna Speedway and Berlin Raceway.

I hope FloRacing is more reliable than FloMarching.

Floracing has been very reliable for us this year. We've watched midget shows from Kalifornia each of the past two weekends. I'll be watching Late Models and Modifieds from the dome in St. Louis this weekend, tonight thru Saturday night.

I tried watching some of the Flomarching stuff on file back in the spring, and the results were not good. I was looking around a couple of weeks ago, and noticed they had some 2021 DCI stuff on there. I sampled that, and observed no issues.

Perhaps they improved the Flomarching product?

The problems are with the live stream during shows.

Apparently the Rangers ownership noticed that people weren't going to pay to come watch bad baseball even if it is in a new shiny stadium. I made it to one game last year for free but hoping to get out for more this coming season.

I went to three games this past season, but I have no plans to return in 2022. I just didn't care for the game experience in that new park, and $27+ for 2 beers has moved the prices from the ridiculous to the absurd.

I've finally come to the realization that I can't afford big league stick and ball sports in big league stadiums. I'll leave the stadium to the corporate big spenders that don't give a shit about the sport.

I wish the Rangers well, and they are still my team. I'll just be keeping up with them from afar.

I've got to go once so I can say I've been to a game in every Rangers ballpark.

For my money, he is one of the two worst managers in Rangers' history. Doug Rader is the other.

The Mets are a complete train wreck, so Showalter is perfect for them.
