I did not sell anything if that's what you mean.

But I still work for a living, so I have dry powder ready to go.

I sold off 30 percent of my equity positions on the September high, and I am kicking my butt that I didn't sell off 70 percent.

I do continues to dollar cost average weekly and monthly regardless of what the market does.

While your powder is drying out, it's also loosing it's purchasing power at the rate of 9% a year according to shadowstats.com

I imagine the only reason you have powder is you have dogs instead of kids. If you were having to raise a family you would probably not have any powder unless you borrowed it. Not criticizing, I'm in the same position except we have cats. :D

That is really dumb..if I had had kids, they'd have left the nest 10 years ago.

The country is not made up of destitute people.
Over 40% of the country would go hungry if they didn't get money from the govt. to buy food.
Here in the great state of Texas in a solid wealthy Republican Collin Co., I get urgent appeals in the mail and online all the time for emergency donations to the county food pantry.

Greg that is a dumb thing to say, because for the first two decades they would have cost you a crap load, that is unless you only recently started investing.

The few hundred dollars a month I was able to invest 30 years ago has a much larger effect finically than the considerably more I have now to invest monthly.

You just had an opportunity to invest more.

I invested in three kids who all have families of their own, and will take good care of me in my declining years.

They were expensive but worth it ;)
