Argentine President Javier Milei used his first executive action in the top office on Sunday to dramatically rearrange the federal executive branch, reducing the number of cabinet-level ministries from 18 to nine.

Many of the ministries eliminated were folded into new offices, suggesting that their functions will continue with a much smaller office and reduced staff.

Argentina's new president Javier Milei announced Tuesday that the government will not renew the contracts of over 5,000 employees that were hired in 2023 before he was sworn in.

“The goal is (to) start on the road to rebuilding our country, return freedom and autonomy to individuals and start to transform the enormous amount of regulations that have blocked, stalled and stopped economic growth,” Milei said, according to Politico.

These cuts have already caused protests in the country, but Milei is still pressing forward with them.

The US is right on the edge of hyper inflation followed by total economic collapse. Both gold and silver are up over 1% today. People are finally starting to get it and are taking measures to try and maintain some of their wealth assuming they still have any. Real estate is going to get hit hard.
