TRUMP WINS OVER COLORADO 9-0

Postby GRANDPA » Mon Mar 04, 2024 10:51 am

SCOTUS decides Trump can stay on Colorado primary ballot. Most likely, it will affect the other states trying to keep him off their primaries, too.

Yeah, which is what almost everybody figured would happen. And I agree with it.
But, I still don't understand why. This is not the presidential election, it's a party election. Then the parties vote at their convention on who their candidate will be. Then you have the presidential election.

Because the party didn't remove him from the ballot.

I was a bit surprised it was 9-0.

It gives some perspective on how over-the-top batsh*t crazy the Colorado Supreme Court is.

Then why even bother having a primary election?

Maybe PS doesn't understand what a primary is. Pro tip: it's where people vote for their party's nominees for public office.
It's NOT where politicians of the opposing party determine who we are allowed to vote for.

And every president on Mt. Rushmore opposed them as I pointed out. And with good reason. We're going to learn why the hard way pretty soon now.

Well, maybe not!

The U.S. Supreme Court rejected one way to block Trump. But other ways are available to those who hope to see democracy survive.
