There was a time that the LP had important things to say. Thirty years ago, they had great candidates for president like Andre Marrou and Harry Browne. Nowadays, it has devolved in a fringe of dope smokers that nominate idiots like Gary Johnson.

The Libertarian Party doesn't have much to do with with (note the lower case "l") libertarianism.

Andre Marrou was the Libertarian Party candidate for President in 1992. Browne was the candidate in 1996 and 2000.
