Happy D -Day!

Postby planosteve » Thu Jun 06, 2024 6:41 am

Doesn't seem like it's been 80 years already. :D
On D-Day itself, 2,501 American soldiers lost their lives during the largest amphibious invasion in history1. Additionally, more than 5,000 were wounded. In the subsequent Battle of Normandy, a total of 73,000 Allied forces were killed, and 153,000 were wounded2. The sacrifices made on that day played a crucial role in turning the tide of World War II.

Biden commemorated the occasion by shitting his pants on stage at Normandy.

I don't know what they are talking about "making sacrifices". They were following orders. Otherwise, they would have been court martialed.

I don't understand why we went over there to bail out England who tried to make us their colony and we had to fight a Revolutionary War to get rid of those bastards. Then we got suckered into bailing them out again. We should have let Hitler have them.

Holding a grudge is like drinking poison and hoping it kills the other person.
I feel like I'm parked diagonally in a parallel universe.
