This discussion was based on the fact that you said there was no way to make money from stocks unless you sell them…and that is not true.

Gold and silver are the only legal money under the Constitution of the United States.
Every paper money that ever existed eventually became worthless and the US dollar will also.

I have owned shares in gold mining companies for 15-20 years. I recently began buying physical gold coins which are stored at a secret location.

The point was that..short term, medium term, or long term…gold is not a good place to put your hard earned money.

To contrast the difference between what has happened over the long term with gold..which has done horribly…


..and the stock market..which has done spectacularly.

Why don't you own any?

For the last 15 years or so I've owned gold mining stocks in preference to the metals. I stared buying coins about 6 months ago and I figure they will out perform the mining stocks as more and more people start to acquire them.
