Our judicial system is dysfunctional, this decision is insane.

An Indiana prison must provide transgender surgery to an inmate convicted of killing a baby, a federal judge ruled last week.

Jonathan C. Richardson, 42, who now identifies as female and goes by Autumn Cordellionè, was convicted in 2001 of fatally strangling his 11-month-old stepdaughter. He is currently serving 55 years behind bars for reckless homicide.

In August of last year, the American Civil Liberties Union sued the Indiana Department of Corrections on behalf of Cordellioné, demanding the prison system pay for his transgender genital surgery.

An Indiana law that took effect last year prevents taxpayer dollars from going toward transgender surgeries for prison inmates. The ACLU argued the law violates the Constitution’s ban on “cruel and unusual punishment” because the surgery is a “medical necessity” for Cordellioné.

Last week, United States District Court Judge Richard Young sided with the ACLU and handed Cordellioné a win.

About four decades ago, he was a young Democrat who made a meager salary working on campaign trails. He occasionally stayed in supporters' homes because the budget was too tight to pay for hotel rooms.

Little did he know or dream that one day he would make what could very well be the state's most historic ruling, one that paved the way for equality for same-sex couples in Indiana. More recently, federal Judge Richard Young made another major decision, one that could completely alter Marion County's tradition of electing its judges.

When you use the qualifier "evil" you are implying that there are Leftists who are not evil. I'm just wondering how you sort them out.
Of the leftists I know, I can't think of any that ever expressed any desire to destroy the country. In fact they were all pretty much OK with it. They just thought the Democrats did a better job. Probably because they don't waste half their time playing golf.
