Vice President Kamala Harris revealed Monday that she suffered from insomnia after President Biden endorsed her as his successor — and that she was sleep deprived the morning she picked her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
Harris, 59, told “All The Smoke” hosts Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson that she made her “gut” decision to select Walz after being unable to sleep much the night before, waking up early that Tuesday morning in Washington and using cooking to calm her mind.
“From the time that the president called me and told me he wasn’t running, I mean, it’s just like everything was in speedy, speedy motion, and I was not sleeping so well,” Harris told the basketball stars, who both played for the Harris-supported Golden State Warriors.
“And that one morning I just, I mean, I had, I don’t know, a few hours’ sleep — and I, you know, I like to sleep. I just got up,” she said. “I was like — so I just went out and got a pork roast and started marinating it.”

Kamala, why did you pick Tim?
It's a joke son,I say a joke
Re: Kamala, why did you pick Tim?
IMO, this is all about sandbagging Coach Tim's ability to perform on the national stage so they can all be "surprised" at how well he does in the VP debate.
Re: Kamala, why did you pick Tim?
Fair enough. What’s Trump’s excuse for picking Vance? Temorary (or permanent) insanity?

Vance ran circles around Walz.

Maybe, maybe not. But I was talking about all of the other stupid stuff he's said.

People who watched the debate saw that Vance is intelligent, poised, eloquent, and has an outstanding command of the facts and a calm demeanor.
Walz was none of those things. As I heard one person comment, "He looked like he showed up for the wrong job interview, and was startled by the questions."
His best, and most honest, answer was when he declared, "I'm a knucklehead."

There again you’re narrowing it down to the debate, the one debate. I’m sure if you like Vance’s positions you’ll like his performance in the debate. But does that negate all of the stupid stuff he’s said/done in the past? I don’t think so.

I don't know: give me an example.

You really NEED me to give you examples? I think not.

So, none then. I know about stuff that people made up or misrepresented.
But, as far as I can tell, JD Vance has gotten the Rush Limbaugh treatment: he's mean, weird, extremist, etc... As with Limbaugh, it's projection on the part of the critics.

No, not "so, none then". Because you're being purposely obtuse, there's no reason for me to educate you.
You're not one of those cat ladies are you?
But, I'll play:
"Mr. Trump is unfit for our nation's highest office."
"There are definitely - there is definitely an element of Donald Trump's support that has its basis in racism or xenophobia. But a lot of these folks are just really hardworking people who are struggling in really important ways."
"Trump's biggest failure as a political leader is that he sees the worst in people, and he encourages the worst in people."
"My fear with Trump was always that he didn't have great solutions."
“If you wanted to kill a bunch of MAGA voters in the middle of the heartland, how better than to target them and their kids with this deadly fentanyl?”
Republicans always knew that Vance — who called Trump “America’s Hitler” in 2017 — would bring some political baggage with him. Perhaps they underestimated the weight.
“I’m a ‘Never Trump’ guy,” Vance said in an interview with Charlie Rose in 2016, while publicizing his memoir “Hillbilly Elegy.” “I never liked him.”
“I can’t stomach Trump,” Vance said in an interview with NPR, when describing why he would vote for a third-party candidate. “I think that he’s noxious and is leading the white working class to a very dark place.”
“I think there’s a chance, if I feel like Trump has a really good chance of winning, that I might have to hold my nose and vote for Hillary Clinton.”

He has already admitted that he was wrong about Trump. There are lots of people who saw what Trump did as President and said, "OK, I'm on board." So, take out all of the "never Trump" stuff from eight years ago, and all that's left is the comment about fentanyl. Given that Biden/Harris have made it as easy as possible to smuggle fentanyl into the country, I think it's a fair comment. As Nikki Haley said, "We've had more Americans die of fentanyl than the Iraq, Afghanistan, and Vietnam wars, combined." And that was just the deaths for LAST YEAR (112,000). And you can add Korea, too. In fact, the number of deaths from fentanyl last year is about the same as total American losses in World War I, more than half of which were from the Spanish Influenza.

I was also wrong about President Trump in 2016. I didn't trust him. I voted third party in that presidential election.
President Trump won me over with his job performance. I'm smart enough to reevaluate my position based on new facts. President Trump is easily the best president in my lifetime.
America desperately needs President Trump to win this 2024 election. The Deep State needs to be dismantled. If President Trump doesn't win, I fear that America will be over.

Are you just regurgitating the hive-mind line of the day, or did you just make that up?

Me? That's what you seem to be doing. Look at all the people who said they didn't like Trump a while back but now say they were wrong.

You're making my point for me. Thanks.
