Basketball News

Postby planosteve » Tue Apr 08, 2025 9:50 pm

The Denver Nuggets shocked the NBA world by firing head coach Michael Malone and announcing they would not extend the contract of general manager Calvin Booth on Tuesday, with just six days left in the regular season. The Nuggets are just two years removed from winning the NBA championship and are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference.

The Lakers come to Dallas to play tomorrow night. That should be one to watch.

Golden State with big lead of Pheonix at half time.

Watched the Celtics, my pick to win the NBA, beat the Knicks tonight.

That might be true of Denver and Dallas at the moment, but I can't think of any other. I expect that Boston, LA, San Francisco, and OK City are booming. NBA teams as a whole generated a total revenue exceeding 11.34 billion U.S. dollars last season.

I was a basketball player, coach, and referee. I watch college basketball. I haven't anything more than fleeting glimpses of an NBA game in more than a decade. I think I'm typical. The NBA is ridiculous.

I don't think you can equate College and Professional basketball. They exist for totally different purposes. But, they are both very popular.

Well, I just did equate college and pro basketball. And I found pro ball lacking.

Yeah, in general. But, if you follow specific teams it's different. Right now with no coach, the Nuggets are very interesting. So are teams with really great players like the Nuggets, Lakers, and Warriers. And the Celtics who are always great and my pick to win the NBA.
