yeah , as part of my layering . First a t-shirt , maybe a sweater then my coat with or without the liner . I own a light sweater and a heavy , heavy Filson wool sweater . Filson looks good if I wear it over a t shirt and some nice jeans / pants and nicely shined boots .

Yes. They're staples in my winter attire. I like to wear cotton pullovers over dress shirts with dress slacks and shoes. Works much better for me than the coat and tie alternative.

I much prefer a good insulated vest with a jacket if needed. It doesn't droop and leaves the arms free.
