Christmas Twister

Postby LibraryLady » Tue Dec 16, 2014 12:18 pm

from my niece:

We watched the sure-to-become-a-holiday-classic "Christmas Twister" last night. In this "dramatic" story, a series of tornadoes hits Tarrant County. We haven't lived in DFW since 2008, and apparently some things have changed since our move. Mountains have erupted around Granbury, and a huge mall has been built there (named Southbay Pavillion -- no doubt for all the bays in the area). Oh, and there are large palm trees growing around the new mall. Speaking of plants -- there are saguaro cacti growing beside the highway in Dublin, which has dwindled to one gas station and five houses. Highway 377 has become a dirt road. And it's warm enough on Christmas Day that Lake Worth families can grill in the back yard (shirtless, or in bikinis) and swim in the pool. (After the tornadoes have passed, of course.) :)

It is going to be repeated next week if you want to catch the movie.

On Sunday, Kansas had a tornado touch down & snow fall. One of the scariest thunderstorms I've beeen through was during a near white-out blizzard in 1969 or '70. But I doubt Hollyweird will make a movie about that.
I feel like I'm parked diagonally in a parallel universe.

Ya know, I still haven't seen Sharknado yet. Don't give away the ending.
