Eddie Routh trial -
Do you think that you would be able to qualify to be an unbiased juror?

Probably. I really haven't kept up with it that much since it happened and I'm not interested in the movie or the book. Despite having a conceal carry and being a good conservative who votes in every election, I just haven't paid attention to the details of this after the first news reports. It's a tragedy, and the shooter is a nut.
Some coffee cups are just too small.

I think so. Haven't read the book. Haven't seen the movie. Listen to the arguments and then listen to the instructions from the judge.

The jury has been seated. He doesn't look like his picture. Shaved head and quite a bit heavier.

I know someone that made it through the first round of jury selection last week. I don't know if he's one of the 2 male jurors but I've known him for a long time and I think he would be a fair juror.

This could be a tough decision for jurors. It will probably come down to whose shrinks are you going to believe.

Which brings up the eternal question - if you are a nut are you not responsible? Don't think I could be a juror. I haven't followed the case but think insanity is no excuse. The thought that one could murder 2 people in cold blood and some day be walking the Earth as a free person is unacceptable to me.

The insanity defense is what you use to avoid the death penalty which is pretty certain since there is no question that he murdered 2 people.
I heard a guy on Charlie Jones last night claim that the guy in court is not the guy that was arrested. He looks that different. But, Charlie wouldn't buy it and cut him off.

I keep thinking about the families who have lost the 2 loved ones. Seems to me letting the guy off on an insanity plea is a virtual thumbing of the nose to those poor grieving people.

And you did not buy into that conspiracy theory? I'm amazed.

I have strict standards for which theories I support. The first one is if nobody here buys it, I'm in.
