The marriage contract was designed to protect the interests and rights of two unequals joining together, two equals don't need it. Men and Women are unequal, two men or two women are equal, in general.

Huh? Strange, I thought the marriage contract was a pledge to and with God to love, protect, honor, lift up, and care for the other till death.

A civil marriage is a legal contract, without religion having anything to do with it.

God ordained the entire concept of marriage loooooooooooooong before government intervened. Without that commitment the marriage is, in my opinion, meaningless............which may have a lot to do with why so many people treat it as such.

Some think they are the chosen because they are "heterosexual" thouth they may dishonor all the tenants of marriage and fidelity..........hell, and decency. We are told all sins are equal in God's eyes. So those who believe homosexuality is a sin need to look deeply at their own lives. Once they are found sinless................they still don't have the right to call sin on others. We all need to deal with our own shortcomings and leave all else to God who knows and loves far beyond what we mere mortals can comprehend.

Balderdash, we may not have a right to pronounce it as sin, but we have the right to believe religious and moral teachings that pronounce it a sin.....at least until that is outlawed.
