Wouldn't it be wonderful if all the MS folks could be cured?

Yes it would. One of our neighbors has gone from being a lovely vivacious very active young woman to a middle aged woman confined to an electric wheelchair who needs full time care. Very sad.

'Tis a wonderful thing. Stem cell research needs the be increased on all diseases.

One of the former head football coaches at Ennis was diagnosed with MS while he was coaching there. He had to retire after a few years because he was unable to handle the physical demands of the job. He went out of the country for stem cell treatment. He had to make more than one trip but he's made a lot of improvements and he's back to coaching at another HS now.

That is great to hear, Jami.

Within the past month a young man at our church, age 21, was diagnosed with MS. It is especially sad (IMO) because his past includes a very abusive family, being rescued by someone who let him live with him for 2-3 years and finish HS. The young man is now at community college getting his basics before going on to a 4 year program. The MS has made him lose most of his vision. Our church has taken him under our wings and have been helping him as much as possible. This diagnosis is a real set back.

I'm hopeful that my friend can get help with stem cells.
