Such wonderful flowers! There are none blooming here yet. But we seem to be several days behind the metroplex.

My Austin niece posted a picture of her kids and bluebonnets a couple of weeks ago. Makes sense as they are a couple of weeks ahead of us climate wise.

So where are they blooming?? South of us I would assume? I'm expecting a huge bumper crop since we've gotten so much rain.

Let's post our bluebonnet pictures here....

Bluebonnets delivered. Got big hug and a kiss.
Crocmommy, we live about 45 miles south of Ft Worth. On the
far western edge of Ellis county. The flowers are in the
ditch up by our front gate. Within a few days they will be
all over our pastures.

Yes it is. During spring I bring some in every day. My
favorites are Indian Paintbrush. They will also be out
before too long.

My second favorites are Wine Cups.........well and the annual Gallardia but they are both more scarce than Bluebonnents and Indian Paintbrush.

I have some Wine Cups, that I bought at a nursery years and years ago, that return faithfully every year. They have only produced a couple of new plants though.

When I was a kid there were bloggers all over this country. Now none.
Tis a good thing. Y'all remember how retreated the bites when we were kids?

We painted over the spot with nail polish. Burned like fire at first but worked.

Modern medicine says that nail polish doesn't work, but it seemed to get the job done when we were kids.

Next question, where was the worst place on you body to get
chigger bites.

Worked better than Caladryl and didn't make clothing pink. And Calaqdryl peeled off.

No question - where the leg elastic is on underwear. Second worse - around the waist.
