Re: 41 years and counting
We have eaten our anniversary dinner at Vincent's for about 35 of those years, and we shall repeat the tradition.
Our first 2 anniversaries were spent in South Carolina. When we returned to Texas and my husband's boss found out where we were going for dinner, he told us to ask for a particular waiter. (Vincent's is also a favorite of that man.) We did as Chuck suggested. At the end of our meal, Chuck had made arrangements for the waiter to bring us a little cake.
I shall order red snapper a la Vincents. yum......yum.......
Our first date was dinner at a seafood restaurant, so............

Happy anniversary, LL. Love the picture.
Was that restaurant once located near Love Field? Many years ago a guy I was dating took me to a classy restaurant near Love Field (don't know what we were doing in Dallas) that served either Greek or Lebanese salads and seafood. It was the place where I ate my first lobster.

Yes, that is the one.
It has moved north to the world's worst location. I think only those who are regulars find it.

Oh my goodness! They have been in business forever. I'm thinking it was late 60s or early 70s when I was there. BTW the lobster was wonderful. My Mom has always said lobster tastes like rubber bands. She is so wrong. I don't like fish but I love lobster, crab, and shrimp - yeah, the trash eaters.

You were both so cute. Love the sideburns. Your hubby looks like a big guy.

Where did you find the old fashion clothes?
Make America Great Again. Impeach Trump!

I know where that Vincent's is. My Mom has a favorite waitress who works there. We don't get by there as often since she moved to Frisco.

Congrats LL.
It's ok if you disagree with me.
I can't force you to be right.

Thanks for the complements.
sideburns--EVERYONE had them at the time. They make me laugh now.
Big guy--LOL He is 5'11" and at that time weighed about 145. ...he's all the way up to 160 now....still 32" waist.

Re: 41 years and counting
It's the size of his hands that made me think he's a big guy. But then Bob's only 5'8" but has really big hands.
And yes, in that picture he does look a little like a young Mac Davis.
Is that your wedding dress? I wore a pink dress at my wedding.

Yes that was my wedding dress.
It was my second wedding and I am of the opinion that white dress is for that first trip up the aisle.
I had grand plans last year to be able to put it on again.......well, that didn't happen.

We should all find our wedding pictures and start a thread for that...

I finally threw mine away. It's not like anyone will want it. Don't know why I hung on to it as long as I did. It was my first wedding but I was bound and determined not to wear white.
As for being able to put it on again..........I weighed 113# when we married. It was a loooooooooooooong time ago.
