They all should be fired and prosecuted for assault.

And the woman who has 3 children by her "boyfriend" who is apparently an identity stealer as well as a horse thief should be prosecuted for being really really STUPID! :?

Yes, they should all be prosecuted..but never got past the first couple of minutes.

Things are going to get tougher and tougher for the good cops, because the bad ones are so darn bad..and no, I don't think it's just a few. Here was a whole group, where's good guy trying to pull them all off of him?

These cops appear to be all scum.

Those idiot officers will not have a pleasant time if convicted and sent to prison. I think a deal will be struck and compensation paid to the horse thief.
It's ok if you disagree with me.

I saw one apparently plain clothes guy walk away but yeah, no one tried to stop the beating. And yes, I'd have no problem defining them as scum.

I'm sure the "boyfriend" is destined to have plenty of money..............as well he should. Hope the "girlfriend" gets some of it for the kids.

trouble is that if this continues its just abandonment of very basic rules of western society where Rule of Law is supposed to be law of the land . On another board I visit there is a 'eth1cs perfessor' arguing that because the guy abused animals that he got what he deserved .

I have a couple of thoughts about this:

1. The police should not brutalize someone who has surrendered and is not resisting.
2. If you commit a crime, resist arrest, and then lead police on a cross-country chase which causes three of them to need medical treatment, you may need a good *ss-kicking.

Apparently some horse kicked a cop...........which was probably deserved.

The guy may have deserved an ass kicking but it wasn't legal or right for the cops to deliver it.

Three cheers for video in this case and in the case of the poor guy shot in the back in S. Carolina.

yep that's my point Sue , wasn't legal , wasn't ethical and all Public Servants should be held to the HIGHEST possible standards . Whats next , apprehend a suspected murderer and Necklace' him on the spot as is done in Sud Africa ??

Why would they taze the horse? It didn't steal anything.

The thing that all of these incidents have had in common is that someone has committed a crime and is either in the act of attacking a police officer or resisting arrest.

When someone shows me a video of someone minding their own business being brutalized, then I will be outraged. As far as I can tell, every one of the high-profile "victims" has been a drain on society.

People are trying to compare these things to dogs being let loose on freedom marchers. Sorry, but these people don't have the right to commit crimes and then resist arrest or attack police officers.

I'm not defending the officers who have broken the law, but a bit of perspective seems to me to be in order.

Well put, although I would probably call him a "scum-sucking dirtbag". But that's close enough.
