Greggo I worked in the '92 Buchanan campaign, I remember very very well how it went down.

Poppy Bush invited Limbaugh to an overnighter at the White House in early Summer, well before the Convention, and Limbaugh switched sides to Bush the Elder. If he had of waited until Bush the Elder was the nominee it would have been a different case.

Bush was the nominee almost immediately..how many primaries did Buchanan win?

..and you worked on the Buchanan campaign?..and you listened to Rush?

..but you didn't know Rush endorsed Pat Buchanan?

If you say so!

Yes Limbaugh endorsed Pat in '92, then turned on him before the convention.

If you are honorable, IMO, you wait until the primaries are over, and the Convention is held before you switch horses.

Then there was '96, I didn't work on any campaign that year, but I do recall Limbaugh did dis Buchanan the go around also.

Hmm - I can see it for some reason, Pat didn't win any of the States Primaries, but he was in the high 30-40% percent ranges in many if not most of the States.

I see no honor in doing what you say.

For me, if you're sane..you can tell a loser almost immediately..the Convention? That might as well have been 3 years later.

I do understand how someone working on his campaign would stay with him.

But, I wanted Pat, too..but could tell almost immediately he was a non starter.

That's what I remember.

..and I'm sorry but that's what you call a loser of Biblical proportion.

If I endorse someone, I stay with them until the Nominee is chosen, others may do differently.

I think the reason Rush never endorsed anyone again is..when they lose..you look like a loser as well..and for Rush, with 22 million listeners..why go there?

He doesn't want to look like the reason someone won OR lost.
