Washington (CNN)—The FBI issued a bulletin to police in Garland, Texas about Elton Simpson's interest in the controversial Prophet Muhammad cartoon event about three hours before Simpson and Nadir Soofi launched their attack, FBI Director James Comey said Thursday.

Comey said the FBI had seen his social media comments referencing the event but didn't know he was traveling to Texas. Comey made the comments at a meeting with reporters in Washington.

"I know there are other Elton Simpsons out there," Comey said.

Remember when Bush blew off the security warning in his daily brief "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US" which he received about 4 weeks before 9/11?

There are plenty of great excuses about missing warnings prior to 9/11..there are no excuses since.

Of course if we had access to the redacted 28 pages of the 9/11 report we would know why he blew it off.

What do you mean by "blew it off". Airport security was on heightened alert, and some of the hijackers were identified and their luggage was searched for explosives. At that time no one was looking for people who planned to hijack planes using box cutters, because the warning was general.

How could they ?
Over the years I've read post that a plane didn't hit the Pentagon and another didn't crash in the field and the other 2 planes weren't hijacked.

Never have heard an explanation about the phones calls made by passengers and crew members who died that day.
