We need the rain?

Postby tx3653 » Thu May 07, 2015 9:41 pm

The next person that says, "We need the rain" should be hit in the mouth with a baseball bat. Houses are about to float and my back yard is like walking in a mud puddle. We do not need more rain!!!

Unfortunately, from channel 4's radar we are about to get deluged again.

I respectively disagree, the lakes need to be full to the brim.

Ankle deep in our backyard and I'll take some more.

Hopefully Bridgeport will gain a bit.

I agree. OK is still way down. The lake that supplies water for Mineral Wells
is only at 25%.

OK was supposed to be PK (also known as Possum Kingdom).

I think the Highland Lakes are still in pretty desperate condition.

Lake levels for the WF water supply are still at only 25% as of last week.
Maybe last night will give them some runoff to fill the lakes.

The good news is, Bridgeport went up a foot yesterday. The bad news is, it is 22 feet below what is considered full.

And it's supposed to rain again today. Good.

Still no word from Steve. Should we send out a search party?

Out on the Owlhoot, the Salt Fork is booming, lots of trees going down the river, I would guess it about 6-8 feet above flood stage. Miller Creek Lake is full for the first time n years.

Man I really did a poor job of communication. I had posted about Sen.
Cruz and how I have always considered him a pissant. My kindle did not
recognize that word and converted to something like peasant. I reposted
just the word correctly by itself. You had posted between mine and must
have thought I was referring to you. I apologize.

Just to make things perfectly clear. I respect you. I really enjoyed talking
to you at the gathering that Jon put together. I am pretty particular about
folks I welcome to my home. I would be honored to sometime have
you and your lady visit. Good beverages, red meat, porch swings, etc.
The boys will probably be here and we could all do some target practice.

Aw hell my paternal grandpa called me pissant. :-)

I might earn the name from time to time.

In other news, I don't have to worry about clearing out the salt cedars.

If the drought was caused by global warming, does this mean global warming is over?

We need a way to move the Dry Line east and west.
