So far 3 have been arrested for having sex with students. They should have gotten together and had sex with each other. There would have been no jail time involved in that and the kids would have been safe.

Standards are lower everywhere, especially in the anything goes world of more liberal types, like teachers.

I don't know but suspect a little of each. After all what passes for news these days loves nothing more than murder, mayhem, and scandal.

Back when I was a kid (when dinosaurs roamed the Earth) when there was a perv around parents just told you to stay away from them. That was it. No police, no newspaper headlines, no rights groups. It was very simple. And we encountered our share of pervs. I clearly remember at least 3 during my young childhood.

I knew of several cases of that 50 years ago, when I was in school.
I never heard of women doing it back then.

If you have a teenage granddaughter..or in her 20s.l..she most likely actively pursues any young man she wants..she will ask to the prom who she wants.,and young teachers fresh out of College have been actively pursuing young men for 5 to 10 years.

Yes, but back then it was not only rare...everyone (including the teacher) knew she was a slut and being a very bad person.

This is now mainstream behavior..not just wth teachers.

well the pictures I see the teachers look young and most are pretty or at least decent looking . Most are just a few years out of college I guess . New generation of mrobama supporters entering the teaching profession !! And seems like it is happening quite often , glad that my kids are grown , hope that my Grandkids are being taught correctly !!

I'm not sure what this proves, but the male homosexual teachers I referred to, were well known. It wasn't any secret what they were doing.
Nothing was done about it. The school officials had to have known. Everybody else did.

The media troll for salacious stories because it sells. And social media make it virtually impossible to keep it quiet. Hell, social media is often what causes teachers to get caught.

It can't come as a surprise to these teachers that they will get caught and will be publicly humiliated - let alone arrested. The power of the privates can be pretty strong, particularly if you are already morally ambivalent.

If it happened back in my day, the kids involved would have let it be known to other kids, just like they do now.
