The best they could hope for, is to convince the jury that he was young and foolish and swayed by his older brother.

The jury didn't buy it, thankfully.

Lots of people plead guilty in cases like this..usually to avoid the death penalty.

I guess that would have been a better plan..it was offered.

The only "evidence" I've seen is a picture of him in the crowd near where one of the explosions occured. If that is "proof" then he is only 1 of 80 to 100 people that could have placed a bomb. And the only picture of him with a backpack, it was casually slung over one shoulder doesn't look like it could hold any kind of a bomb full of metal shrapnel.

So Steve, why were they fleeing police? Why did he hide in a boat? Why did he run over his brother while they were trying to get him handcuffed? Why did he confess? Why did they run? Why did they engage police?

Oh yeah his brother was an informant and Dzhokhar was trying to get to his brothers handler to tell him the fake bombs hurt people.

The trial was designed to avoid as much as possible any informaton about what actually happened during the race or in the convenience store where the policeman was shot, the "Officer Tippet of Boston" as claimed by "Danny" who is never even identified.

It may be they offered the kid the "Tim McVeigh fake execution deal".
Also, no mention of their friend who while being questioned was unarmed and yet shot and killed by a bullet in the back of the head. I guess that's just a "conspiracy theory".
