Irksome driving habits

Postby millergrovesue » Mon Jun 01, 2015 3:30 pm

Stoplight creepers. Got stuck behind 2 of 'em today. They irritate me no end. You're in a line of cars stopped at a red light. The guy in front of you creeps forward a car length, which means he didn't stop directly behind the previous car. He sits there 30 seconds or so then creeps forward another car length. Do you leave that big space or creep up to fill it? Get 3 or 4 of those creepers and you are either sitting with a huge empty space between you and the car in front of you or you are creeping forward like the jerk in front of you. And no, it's not because someone is turning right on red, it's just because of some creeper/creepers. That's my minor irritation for today

.................................well, there is mud sucking at my boots but that will go away in a few more days

..................................oh, and then there is the 4 1/2 year old air conditioner that still isn't fixed a month after it broke and they can't find the part for it. Thank goodness the technician did something to make it work temporarily but we have no idea how long temporarily will be. If we hadn't already sued the home builder and won I'd be talking to my attorney. 'Course we didn't get enough money in the suit to replace a virtually brand new air conditioning unit.

.................................and then there is the healthcare provider who failed to send my records to the new provider despite a month and a half worth of repeated records requests. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Okay bitching over for now.

I don't know about the creeping, but most people stop too close to the car in front of them.
One should stop so they can see where the car in front's tires meet the street.
1. If you get rear ended, there is less chance of you plowing into the front car.
2. If he stalls, you have room to get out from behind him.

Yep, that brings up another irritation - the guy who stops so close to the back of my car that I can't even see his headlights. I'm with you on the tires meeting the street stopped distance.
