Re: Rick Perry moving to California?
Perry is NOT moving to California. The question posed was entirely theoretical, but leave it to the media to skew the story with a misleading headline so the public doesn't bother reading the entire story to see that it's just a "what if" scenario and nothing more.
Some coffee cups are just too small.

Re: Rick Perry moving to California?
I like California a lot, but southern California, not the bay area. I have family there and we always have a very good time because there's lots to do, the weather is almost always perfect and the scenery is breathtaking. We stay away from LA as much as possible, though. Love the Temecula area, Lake Forest, San Diego, etc. But Texas is home. The USA is a beautiful country from New England to California.
I've always said that people in the bay area think they have all the answers but I don't think they even know the question.

California is beautiful, unfortunately the taxes and regulations make it hell.

I did that, twice. Once in south and once in the Bay Area. Couldn't afford to buy a house either place. Not even a shithole. But, other than housing the cost of living was pretty reasonable.
You've lived here..and I don't hear any California bashing out of you...hmmm.[/quote]
No, Overall I enjoyed living in California. What I didn't care for was a lot of the people that live there. They tend to have an "attitude" toward people from flyover country.

How are the attitudes in Texas toward California?

I agree, born/raised there, left almost 37 years ago.
My 91 year old dad, also born there as was his mom, also agrees.
It's ok if you disagree with me.

How about asking them? Make friends and ask.
It could be as simple as "home of ...." written in Arabic.
I admit, kinda odd to so so, knowing the climate of the country. Maybe it says "Allah/God is good."

ask them ? I wave at them and they turn their heads ..no way am I am going to butt into their "privacy" ..you can tell they do not want to be friends ...it may even say Welcome ..but, I'll never know ..why not put a English speaking Welcome ? so far the only problem we have with them is that they do not take care of their yards. Grass and weeds grow for weeks before mowing ..the houses are started to look really bad and this is a nice neighborhood

I don't think we've talked about this. I did know some Offutts. And I had two great friends there. But Munday, like Cisco, is dying because there are no jobs and not enough water to bring jobs/industry to the area.
