List your pet peeves here...
Went to the bank to deposit some checks. The first two pens that were CHAINED to the table didn't work. So I gave up and dug up my own pen out of my purse. The teller heard about it from me.

When you give the Clerk a twenty or larger bill and they use the marker on it to see if it is counterfeit - silly I know they need to protect themselves.
I have gone so far as to carry a little Hi-Lighter in my pocket and mark the bills they give me in change, I had one clerk say "don't you trust me ?" and I answered "yea sure, just like you trusted me"

I would think they've been told to do that and they want to keep their job. But they won't say it that way to you.

i don't pay in cash that much, so don't get checked too often. It seems like it normally happens at gas stations.

Hangers. Hangers belong in the closet on the rod, or in the trash.

Yep. I no longer believe anything I see in movies is real. So much green screening and a fair amount of it is pretty badly done.............at least on t.v. Thin white or black pixillation around the character separating them from the background.
Oh, and clueless spell check. In this case spell check thought "pixillation" should be "titillation". Whole different subject.

titillation is a very good thing.
Re: List your pet peeves here...
1. Tailgaters
2. Men who wear caps or hats at the table in a restaurant.
3. Women who park their cart in the middle of the aisle at the grocery store. I've never seen a man do that.
I had a friend who is an industrial psychologist tell me it is because women have no spatial awareness. In other words, they don't have sense enough to realize people can't get around their cart.

You used to think things you saw in the movies was real?

Re: List your pet peeves here...
My pet peeve is still people driving in the rain without their lights on. Some car colors are almost invisible in the rain, even in daylight rain. And no, parking lights don't count, nor do daylight running lights because the taillights aren't on either. Speaking of DRLs, I see too many cars in full darkness with only those on. For some reason, the dash lights are on too without the taillights. When we bought our new Honda recently, my wife had to remind me to turn the lights on after dark.
And auto-correct on this damn cell phone. It doesn't want to recognize some contractioned words.

Grandpa, I was coming home on I 35 and a terrific storm hit. Couldn't see much and certainly not the side of the road. A trucker up ahead put on his flashers and we all followed suit. I hadn't ever seen that before but will remember that next time I'm in a storm like that. It was pretty scary not being able to see to pull off the road. You couldn't pull over or stop. I'll always remember that trucker, a true knight of the Road.

Yep, in the old days on location meant just that. If the movie took place in Rome the cast was in Rome. Now they are in front of a green screen with Rome in the background. Yeah there were fake horse riding scenes and fake driving, and fake walking down the sidewalk scenes but, for the most part, the actors were truly on location.

Even back then, most scenes in most movies were done on Hollywood sets.
But yes, it was easier to fly everyone to the Coliseum rather than try to construct the Coliseum and surrounding areas.
Now it's often the other way around.
