Trump has been playing with running since 1988.
He's something of an egomaniac and wanted the attention and he's got the money to buy it.
I doubt that he thinks he will win. He wants to have some fun. I think his leading in the polls is as much a surprise to him as it is to everyone else.
He just might surprise us all and pull it off.

can't think of a better team then say a Cruz - Trump matchup plus Trumps plan the I posted in the first post sounds fine to me . As far as him planning or thinking about running , well generally the 'repubs' give out the nomination or go ahead to those that they deem to have been waiting in line . See 'dole' , mccain' , romney and now a boosh , rubio or a christy . Same goes for the dems , how long has 'hilary' been planning on running ??

How about Martin O' Malley, Bobby Jindal, George Pataki or Jim Webb? What do THEY want?

All these people combined don't have as much chance as Trump.

Now they're hoping he self destructs during the debate.

hard question , I hope that he goes in , knows what he is talking about and doesn't choke but I can't see him choking like 'romney' did . Off topic , but Romney choking was planned imo !!

I see a lot of similarities between Trump and Ross Perot.
They are both filthy rich and able to say what they want to without being beholden to wealthy contributors.
Perot led a three man race of him, Bush and Clinton until he went nuts and dropped out of the race because he was afraid someone was going to ruin his daughter's wedding.
He imploded due to his erratic personality. He could easily have won the popular vote if he hadn't.
Trump? - I don't know if he can hold it together. We'll have to wait and see.

And all of the people you named were liked in the press..and were believable as possible candidates to that same press.

What's different is all those others responded the way the press intended them to..the Republican backed down or self destructed.

thing with Trump is that he is just so different when compared to all the others with the exception of Ted Cruz . What is booshs concern , well he talks economy and inclusion of immigrants and more immigrants same as roobio and others . Trump also talks economy but he is more my style the way I read him . I figure that you can have the best economy in the world which is what the USA already has but if you don't have a sovereign and independent , powerful USA what good is it ?? I think that Trump thinks similar to me and lots of his other supporters . And , here is some info on Trumps Plans . I posted it in the opening post and it looks good to me . might be correct Steve , but people that support a Trump , well , I can't see them dropping Trump to support a little kid 'roobio' or a starry eyed Spanish speaking 'boosh' !! Just my opinion !!
