Vicki's father has died.

I know you will all recall how often Ryan told stories about the man.

Remember them well. Rest well Sir. Prayers sent for Vixter and all. It is all part of a plan we can't change or stop. Chance lost a Grandfather, and that was one of the hardest things I ever went through.

Thanks all, and thanks LL for posting.

He was a great man.

An old crotchety farmer who was a man's man.

He will be missed, and I will do my best to carry on a tradition of keeping the farm going as it has been the last 100 years. It might be on a smaller scale, but there will always be crops going as long as I am around the place!

As in most families and a death, their will be one family member that thinks they "deserve" everything be left to them.

No different in this case. Since I am an involved party, I stayed somewhat out of the Estate Planning side but did visit with the attorney her Father has used for years.

I was very pleased how the attorney set up the Trust. It was exactly how I would have had it done.

We stayed totally out of the Will. Vicki asked her Father over and over what he would like to give her two older brothers and never got a straight answer.

One of them (both freeloaders) has been demanding things for months.

I set up the attorney to read the Will Monday. Sparks are going fly in that room.

Karma is a bitch, and what comes around, goes around.
