IIRC, the people who tried to get political mileage out of Cheney's daughters homosexuality were liberals hoping to turn conservatives against Cheney.

Wait a second. That can't be right. They wouldn't use something as sensitive as someone's sexuality to further a personal political agenda. Would they?

this law in NC that our Governor has signed has NOTHING to do with gay and Lesbian bathroom privilege ..It stops men from using women's lockers, showers, bathrooms ..makes sense to me I don't want my 13 year old niece taking a shower and having a 45 year old naked man flashing around his junk !!! Pe3rverts would love it ..stupid governors !!!

good , how long will the law last though after NC money grubbers realize that it is being boycotted and that it is losing money in things like tourism or other business Scarlet ?? [if my scenario happens]

already porn lovers are being punished because a big time porn site is blocking porn from going into N.C. to certain identifiable 'ip' addresses . Just an example as most people don't mind the porn blockage but who else will try to hurt N.C. business and MONEY Flow to N.C. ?? --- http://www.redstate.com/absentee/2016/0 ... room-bill/ ---

We have been warned of boycott of International Home Furnishing Market. So far we have had record attendance. NBL was going to move championship games and have decided to stay in Charlotte. Springsteen and Ringo Starr not touring. Most likely low ticket sales. We won't miss them

The travel bans are stupid. So many own vacation properties in the mountains and the coast. New Yorkers etc.

I feel pretty sure Bruce and Ringo both have good ticket sales. Bruce sells out everywhere he goes. I think he was motivated by his politics, not low ticket sales. What he did was set off a contest amongst liberals to show their support for LGBT in North Carolina. In the same way that celebrities take to Twitter to express sympathy when somebody dies. Once somebody does it they all have to get on board.

Sorry, if there's no elephants holding hands, bears riding bicycles, or growling tigers..it's not a circus.

It's just a bunch of acrobats and out of work stunt men jumping around in tights.

So if a baker can be sued for not serving Sodomites for deeply held personal beliefs, why can't musicians be sued for not providing a service to those they disagree with ?

Kinda sad when washed up musicians think anybody cares about their political views, isn't it?

But to be clear.."has been" does not mean washed up.

It means their active recording and/or hit making career is long behind them.

In many cases, "has beens" make far more money as a has been than they ever did as a recording artist.
