AUSTIN, Texas (UPI) --Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson has harsh words for Governor Rick Perry's recent decision to stop wearing boots.

In June, the Washington Post reported that Rick Perry has stopped wearing cowboy boots because they aggravate his back. Patterson, who finished in fourth place in Texas' Republican primary for lieutenant governor, wrote to the Austin American Statesmen to complain about Perry's choice in footwear, calling back pain a "feeble excuse."

"Tell Rick that boots can be purchased with normal heels," Patterson says.

"I lament the fact that our governor could now pass for a West Coast metrosexual and has embarrassed us all with his sartorial change of direction."

His way of picking political fights is past me. He came up with the info on Dan Patrick, claiming Patrick had "depression" issues back in the 80's. He takes the low cheap shot road any time he can!
Based on the definition of a "Metrosexual", I dare say some of us on this board are "Metrosexuals" and I'm proud of it. Not everybody is a "clod buster"!
