Skip Bayless is an obnoxious, self-important jerk sportswriter. He also had a show on ESPN2 (I guess someone watched it; certainly not me). For some reason, FOX has hired him for something.

Nobody - NOBODY likes Skip. He's there for irritainment. Let's see how long it takes him to wear out his welcome.

The only reason to care about this is the possibility of him crossing paths with Troy Aikman in the hallway at Fox.

He might be the first media person that I hated. He was on some feature back in the eighties and Dale Hansen hosted it. I hated him then and it never stopped.

And yes, I hope he has to deal with Troy. In today's Morning News, Troy had this wonderful statement:

"I believe success is achieved by acquiring and developing talented, respected and credible individuals, none of which applies to Skip Bayless."

So awesome.

I'm not a sports fan but I do know my husband hates him. Steve's a pretty reasonable man, but not in the case of Skip Bayless.

Bayless is intelligent, well-informed, courageous, and he tells the truth as he understands it to be.

IF you don't like him, do not watch him. Spending a minute hating Skip is a waste of time and
energy. Nobody cares.

PS Gee, are these the death throes of Fox? Seven women challenging its self concept of "we" report and Ailes shown the door. Only truly appeals to older white men. (I'm not one of them.)

Demographics show a continuing contraction for Fox's audience. Wonder if they are reaching out beyond the idiot wing to staunch the bleeding?

I started reading Skip Bayless when there was still a Dallas Times Herald. Skip was the first voice heard the day the Ticket went on the air.

Skip is a talented writer, but he is also a one trick pony. He looks for the opinion that will upset the most people and that's the position he takes.I'll put the over/under on how long he lasts at Fox at 365 1/2 days.

Bayless caused me to turn of the radio when he worked at KLIF, same was true from day 1 at the Ticket, never paid attention to his coverage of the boys.
His writing about gossip mongering with a coach to dumb to leave his gun at home bothered me and I'm no fan of the boys.

But it is also noteworthy that two liberal people chimed in with favorable comments..and every Conservative very much dislikes him.

I don't watch sports shows, but my friends that do continually tell me how politically far left their hosts are..so before we even get to Skip..sports divide us politically just like everything else.

the powerful may just be firming things up around at FOX , FOX already has left leaning 'oreily' leading FOX . Then there is lefty 'shep smith' so this lefty sports guy that i never heard of will fit right in with lefty 'juan williams' and the FOX crew . FOX just gave 'greta' the boot and i haven't seen that dark haired girl ' angela tantoros ' for the last couple of months . So it might just be that FOX is getting rid the kinda conservative hosts and is replacing them with lefties .

I have noticed all my life how Conservatives tend to be happier people.

I've never known a happy liberal..they're too busy wringing their hands about all that's wrong with the world..and of the evils of America.
