Sirens sounded in various cities in central Israel on Tuesday night and blasts were heard in Tel Aviv.

The air raid siren was activated in Rishon Lezion, Bat Yam, Holon and Bnei Barak, but not in Tel Aviv.

Earlier on Tuesday evening, the Iron Dome rocket defense system intercepted a projectile near Tel Aviv over the city of Rishon Lezion, as air raid sirens sounded in central Israeli cities for the first time amid recent escalations.

No injuries or damage were reported in the attack, which marked a widening of the range of rocket fire the Gaza Strip.

Israeli television showed a double-burst of smoke in skies above Tel Aviv after air raid sirens sounded, sending residents running for shelter.

On Tuesday, Israeli military sources reported that 140 rockets had been fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel within 24 hours without causing death or injuries. The rockets are primitive, unguided rockets with a limited range, incomparable to the missiles, shells and bombs Israel deploys, often in densely populated areas.

Washington came out in support of Israel. White House spokesman Josh Earnest said condemned the rocket attacks on Israel on behalf of the Obama administration, saying:
“No country can accept rocket fire aimed at civilians and we support Israel’s right to defend itself against these vicious attacks”.

Considering the White House statement that no country could accept rocket fire aimed at civilians, it is worth noting that it was the Israeli Air Force that launched air strikes against civilian targets in the densely populated Gaza Strip in response to the alleged kidnapping of thee Jewish teenagers in the illegal Gush Etzion settlement in the West Bank, before any of the primitive rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel in retaliation.

Well, certainly ineffective.
Watching Mourning Joe and all of the usual suspects wailing about the terrible rocket attacks which threatens the very existence of Israel, the video being shown is all in the Palestinian areas, showing civilians trying to crawl out of the rubble of buildings that have been blown up with them in them by Bibi's air strikes!
The reason is obvious, there was no damage to show except in the Palestinian areas.
